Why clocks? It seems like such a random thing to get into. Well I can tell you that I certainly didn’t set out to open up a clock shop! It totally chose me and I know that sounds cheesy but its the truth!
It all started when I saw this gorgeous wood clock online somewhere. All I wanted to do was buy one for my mom! I was pretty ignorant to Pinterest and Etsy at that point and honestly didn’t even know what a spool was. Then one day out of the blue I saw someone selling a wood spool and it clicked! I bought the spool, brought it home, took it apart and stained it! I cut out number stencils from a Cheerios box and started painting. The numbers were half backwards or upside down and I struggled to find decent clock hands that didn’t look ridiculous. When I was done, a close family friend told me they would be able to help me out with acquiring more spools and from then on The PFC was born!
My little business has clearly grown since cheerio box stencils. I have grown a passion for woodworking and for making classic, timeless pieces that will be cherished! Every day brings a new challenge as I face the daily joys and struggles of being a mother, wife, and maker all at once, but I can honestly say that I would not change this!! I am grateful every day not only to have a creative outlet to pour myself into, but to operate a small business out of my home and be with my children.
And I thank YOU for being a part of it!!
